Royal Wedding and Bin Laden

Just two days after the propaganda-like mass entertainment wedding in England, its master on the other side of the Atlantic is now celebrating the death of the man who caused their long term misery, Bin Laden. On the home page of BBC, successive images of a joyful mob in front of the white house shouting USA USA, Bin laden and 9/11 picture are shown to garner the headline.

Then the narrative follows amidst Obama’s speech of relief followed by its historical vassal David Cameron, a bit of flash back about Ben Laden story and a lots of dramatization on terrorist attack that are supposedly Al Qaida’s action which culminated till the World trade center. A look on the live tweets shows massive messages of felicitation and a sporadic supports for the mythic leader; the overall discourse is dominated by the same media garbage about Ben Ladin for the last 10 years which is the dualism between Terrorism/Al Qaida, 911/Bin Laden, Bin Laden/Afghanistan and Iraq. It seems for me unacceptable that 10 years later and after considerable move on independent investigations about 9/11 the main media is allowed to freely and deliberately link Bin Laden as the sole and main instigator of 9/11 events. And we, we are passively and gullibly accept these shits. Suddenly, the death of Bin Laden serves as mean to revive again the Bush ideology on terrorism threats with little respects to basic sense of logic. Another narrative aspect of this new propaganda is the example of an interviewed mother whose son died in Iraq and wishes that he was there to enjoy this moment. But wait a minute, it is not a secret anymore that Iraq has nothing to do with Bin Laden and WMD discourse was a lie which makes such comment misplaced. One more point is Amid Karzai’s statement about the false idea of Afghanistan as a haven for terrorists, surely alluding to Pakistan. 10 years later, there is a little change is our perception of the world around us, fed by ready made media package there is no room for thinking and analysis. I have no grudge against those who frantically celebrate the death of Bin Laden as a panacea for their problems including health care insurance and economic recession (still this is democracy) or those who think that Royal Wedding is cheap distraction from their daily worries; however, we can not change history and use Bin Laden as scapegoat.

Here again, I would like to clarify that truthers (Is one who rejects the official explanation provided for September 11, 2001. They include professional architects and engineers, scientists, and other scholars, firefighters, pilots, veterans, doctors, the victims families and people from countless other walks of life. People who reject the official explanation live in a paradigm that sees the mainstream media as a tool of manipulation for the masses) are not the one who have the monopoly on counter-9/11 explanation, that these are common senses available for all average citizen regardless their country origin. Rather, truthers can be blamed for using “conspiracy theory” discourse which can be dismissed easily as a whole by the mainstream media when they failed to raise people’s basic sense of logic. When you put together scientific explanations (about WTC steel structure and the impossible crumbing due to the jet hit) and abstract term like conspiracy theory then people have a tendency to take the latter as a fiction. Nevertheless, scientific facts brought by truthers revealing the only inside job explanation were hardly to be debunked that the last counter argument is based on logistics. Logistic explanation is that 9/11 would have involved hundreds of human agency therefore is it impossible that not a single person would act as whistle-blower? That sounds a little plausible but we should not forget that the USA had already staged political assassinations within its border before (the Kennedys, Martin L King) without disclosing who committed the crime. What is the difference between JFK and 9/11? Till then, Bin Laden the beast, the blood-sucker Muslim of the grandest kind died as the most hated man in the West but, lo and behold, Gaddafi is still alive, Ahmadinejad too, you can add to the list Julian Assange or anyone who fight against oppression.
